Conclusion is a rock run, not a mogul course.icedtea wrote:FJ wrote:Just heard a rumor that the Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge has been moved to Conclusion - Snowdon Mountain Mogul Challenge.

I was kinda upset, but you figure they get Highline and Conclusion, and we get the rest of the hill, those two runs are more central to their operations.
yeah they're two good trails, but there's other stuff at K thats better

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Rediculous. This is just another money saving idea. They were going to keep Snowdon open till the end of the year anyway, but now they can close Bear a few weeks earlier. I actually expect this sort of stuff from normal companies, I don't know why I am surprised when a Mountain does it.... They just never used to...
What they really should do is run a platter lift up Interceptor to keep the bumpers and racers off the novice/intermediate terrain at the top of Snowdon. They also really need to move the junior program race course over a couple of runs and move the existing Poma over to the new kiddie race course. That widens Bunny Buster significantly and gives more options to cope with the mayhem where upper Bunny crosses Great Northern. When they finally do install a high speed lift on Snowdon, they need to have somewhere to put all the tourons and you don't want the racers and bumpers sharing the same trails.

Why are you accepting this alleged rumor at face value? Anyone can make up anything and post it as a "rumor" and people here just fall for it hook, line and sinker.GoBigOrGoHome wrote:Rediculous. Anybody know if his compensation is directly tied to making/exceeding his budget? SP Land is a private company (right?), so i doubt this information is publically available.

Re: SMMC
You are right, I guess my comment would only apply if the rumor turns out to be true. The BMMC just wouldn't be the same anywhere else on the mountain. I wonder what Randy "The Hammer" Grasso would say? I also wonder if Radio Ron is going to make an appearance during this year's BMMC?.... If only we were so lucky.Bubba wrote:Why are you accepting this alleged rumor at face value?
