Dont you roll your eyes at me young lady!Skibumtress wrote:
Yep, hiking is a HUGE "no-no" at Pico.
As is K.

I am just letting them know, so if they are out there hiking, and someone tells them to get the heck away from the mountain, they will know why,
against policy, due to a number of reasons...

Theres no open terrain at Killington or Pico. No hiking is allowed at either resort.keram wrote:what is open or legit to hike?
People have been skiing Outer Limits however...
Mount Snow, Sugarbush, Jay Peak, Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and a few others are still open, for tomorrow at least... Over an inch and a half of r*in coming Monday/Tuesday in this neck of the woods...
r*in coming in tonight lasting into the morning as well.... Then a freeze up next week for the remaining snow, and the couple of places still open...

A b*%ch? A sweet young lady such as yourself? I think not!Skibumtress wrote: If anyone gets caught, will their seaon passon get taken away? And not to be a b*%ch, but I'm just curous, what are those "number of reasons...?"

There is heavy equipment being operated throughout the mountains. That’s been heavily reported, constant groomer activity, tractors, a crane, and other heavy equipment being used resorts wide. Then you have your snowmobiles and other mtn op movements throughout the mountains.
There’s a lot of work underway, and having folk up in the mountains is not something that needs to be dealt with by the hardworking people up there undertaking the infinite tasks, preparing the resort for the 08/09 ski season, for your enjoyment!

K can have my season pass, since I'm not using it anymore
In fact I think I'll actually carry it with me the next time I'm hiking Killington, and hand it to the person that stops me

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

And all of those things are just so inconspicuous, it's incredibly likely you'd run right into them if you aren't paying attention...skiingsnow wrote:There is heavy equipment being operated throughout the mountains. Funny, most workers are (or have been in the past) friendly, and like seeing people out enjoying themselves. And I've never seen anyone dumb enough to do something that would cause them any problem.
