Rick Torrey Judgement Day
Sentence 3 years, to be served at the old FT Devens in Ma, he is to report on Dec 2, 2008. Five years very strict supervised probation, has to go through sex offender treatment in prison. Not sure but he might have also been assessed a $100,000 judgment, couldn't quite make out what the judge was saying.
The story Rick told me was nothing like what came out during the sentencing hearing. Not a one time thing, he has been downloading child pornography for three and a half years. The evidence collected contained over 600 photographs and more than 20 videos, some depicting violent acts.
I am in a minor state of shock, not sure if going to the hearing was a good idea. I know Rick lied to me, and right now I'm having a hard time sorting out exactly how I feel. I know I can't ever believe anything he says and I'm sure not going to be a customer at his shop any longer.

He is gonna need some lube, a three year supply.
I think he got off way to easy.

I doubt they bother lubing those with short eyes. His probation will probably keep him out of the shop if he has to keep away from minors.skifaster wrote:He is gonna need some lube, a three year supply.

Not that it would have changed the fact that he lied to you if you didn't go. I'm not sure at what point I became convinced that he was bad, but I didn't go into the store last year.shortski wrote:Sentence 3 years, to be served at the old FT Devens in Ma, he is to report on Dec 2, 2008. Hopefully he gets the help he needs and never contributes to the abuse of a minor again.RedRider wrote:Glad I never met him!
The dude was always a bit "queer" if you ask me. So who is getting a season tune at the basin this year?

Re: Rick Torrey Judgement Day
Turns out Rick lied to a lot of people. As I told him, I accepted the explanation he told me subject to what came out at sentencing. So did others. Obviously Rick and the truth were not on the same page.shortski wrote:Sentence 3 years, to be served at the old FT Devens in Ma, he is to report on Dec 2, 2008. Too many here seem to think he made a "mistake" you forgive mistakes so why not shop at the store????
Wish it would BURN TO THE GROUND.....
See what happens when you take the word of a criminal for truth...im sure he sold you all a story (those that are close with him), and you bought it hook line and sinker...

Re: Rick Torrey Judgement Day
don't know much about it, but i guess 3+5 is the correct sentence. sounds like his problem was a lot bigger than he led people to believe. now that the truth is out, suspect his business will take a bigger hit since he will no longer be around to spin it or do damage control. whole thing makes me sick ...

So the state won't come in and liquidate everything? I don't know but a friend of mine said that could happen.KMartman wrote:Oh im sure its business as usual...thorski wrote:Whats going to go on with the store?
