Two weeks ago
Pickle $5.50 for a bud, draft was on special for $4.75 so don't know their "normal" price.
Sushi Y was $4.50.
Last night.
Grist was $5.50 draft $7.50 mixed.

Really doubt you're going to get a $4.50 beer at Wobbly.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.

I think they are shooting themeselves in the foot by ending the free wings thing. If they were offering free wings to entice people into the place and buy drafts and drinks at the bar, I don't see how the economy and/or lack of traffic changes that model. In fact in times like this they need even more gimmicks/programs to get more people in the door.

Seems odd that all of them are stopping it at the same time, did they all get together and decide this? You would think if one bar offered some free/discounted apps and the others stopped it, they would be a hit this season.

I know if I still had a share in a house at K and there were no free wings, I would just head directly to LT pub and get some decent food and beer - yaki wings rule and the chili and burgers are always good. Most places on the access road suck when it comes to food and service - the free wings are the only thing that enticed me to stop on the access road - I always had a few drinks and beers which made up for the free food, and I always tipped well.

Bud is $4.50 at the Wobbly & Bud Lite, Coors Light, Bud Lite Lime, etc. Free Nacho Bar for Saturday Happy Hours too according to the bartender.

And as for the wing "thing" can't say I know for sure but this rumor floats by every year? The best wings on the MT are Charity's.They have a Jamaican Jerk wing that's always been better than the others!

The Clear River down in Pittsfield has the best actual "Buffalo" wings I've had in Vermont... Just ask for xtra hot or they are too tame.

Plus, I've seen the guys that try to make dinner out of the free wings? Admit it, you have too? Eating 3 buckets of wings or more when you buy one beer doesn't make any money for the owners.

And honestly, the beer on the Access Road is about the same as Boston bars and cheaper than most in NYC? I think everyone will have to bump prices a little this year?

Fuel prices go up... Costs go up...Prices go up... Hard to fault the bars?

At the Lookout they told us that a case of wings went from $23 three years ago to over $70 this year.

With nothing free I guess I'll spend more time at Baja Burrito. Hope they still have the half price burritos for HH as they have had for the last several years. Plus you get to see Bernie.

If places raise the price of beer as much as they have, they should give you a little something. Lookout was thinking about charging $2 for the previous free wings.

If you pay the prices for these expensive libations than you are not being robbed, you are encouraging them to rob you. Big diference. Something is worth what suckers are willing to pay for it.

OK... if I had an alias on this board, he'd be named "Keyser Soze" -- with the avatar and all.

Dammit. Should've thought of this one first!
