I never left the Snowdon quad today. Great Bear & Northstar were like being out west the day after a powder day. Pillowy lightly cut-up powder. Patsy's and Low Rider were thigh deep. I did a Low Rider with MrG and Phantom and a Royal Flush with Phantom. It's like they put Killington on a flatbed and moved it 2000 miles west.

I don't think it really snowed that much last night, as I think the 24 hours total included that which snowed during the dya yesterday. Either way the wind or the "11 inches last night" pretty much refilled everything. Not as epic as yesterday but everything was so soft and so fluffy. Stopped to take some pictures of the untracked 2 feet. Still tons of untracked out there. Hit upper and lower spanky's run at 4 p.m. and it only had a handful of tracks in it.

All about untracked woods today.
Knee to thigh deep private paradise!

The sun was nice on the chair rides, but it was a little windy.

Big ups to KL for showing me through some tree areas I didn't think were doable/navigable.

You got to experience the same type of snow that we experienced when you were at Whistler for Christmas. Wish I could have been there to experience it again.

I brought the good weather with me gurl, so don't worry. Good times are here to stay, at least till around April. From then on, I can't say.

True, consistent high thigh deep on my 6-2 legs is very rare. On the East coast I think I've had it once at Jay after 48" in 48 hours. Someone like GPetrics might see it more often.

Also, with the fatties today very few people ski thigh deep snow at thigh deep depths.

Momentary thigh deep I had Monday several times.

Because PHAT SKIS and BOARDS FLOAT on deep snow. If they are in thigh deep, they are sitting on their tails.

I go on 100mm waist FAT skis and on Monday was getting thigh deep at times in the early afternoon from the Canyon Area to Vagabond.
The dumping snow was very light, and I was trying to lift out of and then sink my turns into approaching drifts on trails edge. When I could sink into a drift, I was able to push down deep - getting the resulting face shot. Many times I must have just got lucky because I sank my turn in the gully between buried moguls. Otherwise, those FAT skis wouldn't float down any lower than knee-deep. Regardless of powder depth, every run was a magic carpet ride. And I did offer to take some pictures, but then the cameraman gets to go first. So no pictures. Best sick day ever.

See my stoke from Monday. I'm on 114mm underfoot....and there were some thigh deep turns.....lots of knee deep turns. Speaking of stoke, what's the deal with taking pictures of untracked woods and tracks you just made? Does everyone ski alone? Where's the Tuesday stoke?

This was thigh deep I think. Pretty sure I wasn't sitting on my tails either:
