Accident on Skylark?
Does anybody have any news about an incident on Skylark today Monday around 11:30? I don't know what happened but a person was receiving CPR and it did not look good. I hung around a few minutes and then I had to go and still getting CPR.

85 year old man skiing with a PSIA group. Suffered a fatal heart attack.

I've read alot of asinine comments on here before but the above sarcasm is just beyond words.

Sucks, but if there's a way I'd want to go........trtaylor wrote:85 year old man skiing with a PSIA group. Suffered a fatal heart attack.

Prayers for peace for his family and friends.
When I go I want to just close my eyes and go quietly, like my grandpa did.
NOT screaming and crying and carrying on like the other passengers in the car he was driving down a twisty mountain road at the time.

My condolences to his family. He died doing something he loved to do - in a way that's a great way to go.

Re: Accident on Skylark?
Just to be 85 and still skiing is something. You have to have a strong heart though.

Re: Accident on Skylark?
I'm amazed about how people in their 80's still are able to ski. (Or ride?) How old is the oldest known active skier and or rider pass holder in Killington? Anybody know?

Don't know for sure but maybe Twiggy (Dr.No's friend) may qualify.tt431 wrote:I'm amazed about how people in their 80's still are able to ski. (Or ride?) How old is the oldest known active skier and or rider pass holder in Killington? Anybody know?

Ask me in person if you want details. I don't think I'm comfortable telling his story in public. It is sad to witness the loss of life.
But at an unsubstantiated 87 or 88, 'Bing' had a long life and died on a good day living life large.
Sympathies to his friends, family, and fellow instructors.
Learn CPR folks.
