Wonder what they pay these people, bet you it isn't much.

I've been lurking these boards for a few seasons now, but I had to register to answer this. As a server in NJ, I make $2.29 an hour +tips, VT is probably around the same. My last paycheck was 17 cents for 35 hours after taxes were taken out. The "most expensive part" is the management.

As for free wings being taken away- it sucks, but I can't really blame them for it. With the economy being the way it is right now I can see a lot of people coming in and ordering a $2.00 beer so they can eat $10.00 in wings. I even have to pay for lunch at the restaurant I WORK AT. You can't afford to give away food when you can't even sell it, ya know?

$2 beers can be had at a few places on the hill, and used to be quite common on sundays at a specific bar, with some hippie playing guitar...

Not entirely true. Sushi Yoshi is the only place on the hill doing free wings.

Lookout has gone back to doing free wings on off-peak days....if they are in the mood for it.

Personally, I like the 12 wings with carrots and blue cheese for $4.50, still a great deal.
