Can't make either Trey/Mike shows in Philly - in a strange change in events - I'll actually be skiing at K

Although this is not confirmed, it would be epic ...

Mark your calendars: Phish
Arts board puts jam band on official list

Phish is on the calendar. Telluride’s arts board approved putting the jam band on the arts calendar for Aug. 9 and 10.

The arts and culture board, CCAASE, handles the scheduling for the town, so that no two major festivals are booked on the same weekend.

The band would play for 9,000 people, said Craig Ferguson, the organizer of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. He’s working with Phish’s promoter, AEG Live, on bringing the band here.

If 9,000 people show up, that would make the Phish concert one of the biggest events of the summer, up there with Bluegrass and Blues and Brews.

Summer tour rumors are all over the place. I heard that phish tour wont get announced till after the the mike gordon tour as to not effect his ticket sales. Gordon's last date is Mar 14

telluride would be sick, too bad it's not in winter (i know, not really possible but wishful thinking....)

very curious to see what the summer dates are. i have to go to the dayton, OH area for work for 4 F***ING WEEKS  :-x  from june 8 - july 2, so i am praying for a 3-night deer creek run while i'm out there. most ideally a Fri-Sat-Sun at Alpine Valley (unless the rumors i've heard about wrigley are true, then replace one of those with that), followed by T-W-Th at deer creek the following week. that would be sick. and let's add a late summer northeast run for good measure.

sidenote, XtremeJibber2001: was reading back over the last few pages and i am really really ridiculously jealous that you saw night one of philly. based on my one listen to it on tape, i think that may have been the best show of the year musically. have not heard them all, but have heard the vast majority. i wouldn't trade having been at hartford for anything, but that show sounded absolutely incredible. the worst part is, i live about 40 miles from philly, i hear tickets were far from sold out that night, and i didn't do anything but go to sleep early :bang :bang :bang :bang :bang i have absolutely no good excuse either, i mean cash was an issue at the time, but still..... mikes>simple>slave>weekapaug to close the show??? (quite possibly the best slave i've heard them play in years no less....) RIDICULOUS!!!! so jealous. lesson learned for sure.

interesting. that would be pretty frustrating given that i'll be in dayton from june 8th on. conveniently just missing all of the chicago and deer creek dates. oh well. thanks for the link though, seems fairly plausible, interesting that deer creek is included on both legs.

Trey will have the priveledge of inducting Genesis into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at this year's induction ceremony.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at The Waldorf-Astoria on March 15, 2010 at 8:30 p.m. EST, and will be televised live on Fuse and available on http://www.fuse.tv. The 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees were chosen by the 500 voters of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. Artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first recording is released.

In addition to being honored at the ceremony on March 15, 2010, each artist who is inducted is commemorated at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland Ohio, which serves as a monument to rock and roll’s impact on our culture. These inductees will be honored – along with previous year’s inductees and hundreds of other artists – with an exhibit and film that serve to tell the story of modern music.
Word is Trey/Phish will be playing some Genesis stuff tonight.
