How many times would you order something before they got it right, and not provide the proper dinnerware to boot. The spoon was not her fault, but she should have stated the obvious immediately, and should have corrected the drink immediately, no questions asked.

The bill after deduction was $62.73, the deduction was $4 and change. Well needless to say, the tip was 27 cents, I wanted to leave a note explaining that I was out of money and had more on order, but just wanted to get out of this dump.

You ever waited tables before Andy?? This was POOR FORM...the watiress doesnt own the place. Its not her fault for shoddy management, she/he is jsut trying to get paid.

Im sorry you had a bad experience, but it sure didnt sound like it was the waitresses fault, which is EXACTLY who you penalized.

There's a great story about this situation. It involves you leaving a $50 tip instead of 27 cents. Go there the following week, and the staff falls all over you. The teaspoons will be numerous. Leave a $5 tip. When the waitress asks what's wrong, was the service poor? Explain that the $5 was for last week, and the $50 was for this week.

this is kinda along the lines of not tipping the server cause the steak wasnt cooked correctly. im not passing any judgment though. sh*t happens, move on.

Again, were the coffee and shots served properly? NO! did it get corrected on round 2? NO! Finally on round 3 he gave up and bitched. Round 1 should have been corrected IMMEDIATELY. If my wait staff cannot follow my requests or instructions, they do not deserve a full tip.

OK, he requested a capachino and a shot. He never got what he REQUESTED. End of Story! And, with my limited time in the service industry, oh, some 30 years or so, when the customer instructs, you either say I can't do it or you follow the instructions. Guess food service is different. And always do it with a smile on your face, while biting our tongue.
