I think someone is pulling your chain....
It's possible...wouldn't be the first time someone in Killington's management hasn't told the truth.
Would that be middle management, maybe they only think they know. Not many top level guys that need to mislead anyone.
Did you say not "many" or not "any"?

"We eat what we kill". Oops....nope...we're fed from Park City.

The DLC made us do it. Oops...the DLC in Montpelier never heard of the BMMC.

Rathbun (Jan 08): Chris Nyberg personally pulled the pass of someone skiing down from above the top of the Ramshead lift.
Nyberg (Mar 08): We haven't pulled any passes.
Well if it was "any" of the execs, your chain was pulled.

Well, at least they're consistent in their ability to be truthy.

Heard from a reliable source that the village phase 1 will be built, Peak lodge replaced, Snowdon quad replaced and the Interconnect will be completed...
Also, some pipe repairs, a new fan gun and new urinals at Bear...

This summer. Also, heard that they might skip the Interconnect and put in a Peak to Peak gondola from K to Pico like Whistler-Blackcomb. POWDR said that might have to wait till next summer though!

I heard yesterday that Chris Nyberg is talking to the KSC about tearing down the Alpine Training Center and moving the club to an equivalent sized building at Bear. Apparently, in the KSC lease, Killington can boot them as long as they put them in space elsewhere that's the same square footage.

KSC at Bear would kind of suck given that the lifts don't spin there until Christmas. ...not that they have any control over it. I wonder what will go up on that site? Maybe a new admin building?

I have no idea whether these rumors are true, but I can definitely see why POWDR might want to do this, as it would be a very splashy project that would attract a lot of attention. It would also bring more traffic to Pico, which is under-utilized today. If you look at Whistler-Blackcomb marketing materials, they emphasize their unique peak-to-peak gondola very heavily. It is unique.

I don't think you could get the whole thing built in a single off-season.
