Killington Facebook is paying attention to the comments thread. According to them:
"Some good guesses and a couple are even in the ballpark. Stay tuned tomorrow".
A couple are in the ballpark? Two people guessed interconnect. Perhaps that's the big announcement! One can always dream, right?

Well, an interconnect would certainly be huge and put Killington "back on the radar" so to speak. I can't really see it being likely, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
My bet would be on a snowmaking announcement of some sort, with a number attached. Like Mt. Snow's 101 Fanguns from a year or two ago.
Other major possibilities would be:
-Snowdon lift
-Early season lift
-I hope not, but....the village.

That would require permits that have not been issued, right? I guess snowmaking announcement is most likely. If so, that doesn't sound big to me. I don't care how many guns they plan to buy. I'm still hoping for the interconnect. Unlikely, but who knows...Bubba wrote:Can't be the village.millerm277 wrote:Well, an interconnect would certainly be huge and put Killington "back on the radar" so to speak. Eh, "We're going to line all of our signature trails with fan guns, including Snowdon, Superstar, Skyelark, all of Bear and the Canyon", would be big news.skiersleft wrote:That would require permits that have not been issued, right? And you can announce anything, it doesn't have to actually be approved yet. (I do very much doubt it's the village though).
Realistically though, I'm betting we're mostly thinking too "big", but we'll see in the morning.
