Hey everyone,
I'm working on a new show for the Travel Channel, and after a couple weeks of hounding my boss, I've finally gotten the green light to do a story on the damage in VT from Irene. I grew up in VT, and only recently had to move away for work-related reasons, so I really wanted to tell this story to show everyone A: How devastating the damage really is in VT, and B: How strong its people are as they've been working non-stop to put everything back the way it was. We're focusing our story around the Mendon/Killington/Pittsfield/Bridgewater region, and we'll be filming soon at Shortski's house (what's left of it). So we'll be telling his story, and showing all the road damage from Woodstock to Rutland.
Right now I'm looking for pictures and video of the flooding from Irene. I know there's a giant thread on here already with lots of pictures, and I started going through and PMing people who posted stuff, but I'm finding that most of what was posted was not taken by the person posting it. And so, I'm asking that if you shot any pics/video and would be willing to let me use them in our VT story, could you please shoot me a PM?
We're looking for anything from that area that shows the flooding as it was happening, and the aftermath/rebuilding progress.
Thanks so much,
-Corey (Crock)

Don't forget to mention the VAST snowmobile trail system which has been devastated.
