Re: LIVE REPORTS HERE?
Lots of smiles on lots of faces, including Chris Nyberg's. Busy, but not insanely. Saw a lot of Zoners. Good surface that improved as it got skied on. Powder Day tomorrow! Come get it!

Re: LIVE REPORTS HERE?
I didn't get up on the Mtn until 1:30. By then the crowd had thinned out and there was no lift line. Great conditions for early season. Skiing on a new set of skis, Atomic Panic 181's, like them so far. Maybe a rare Oct. powder day tomorrow! Brought my Atomic Blog 185's along just in case.
One gripe, and very minor, is that they pre-closed (that's what the patrol called) the slope at 3:30 pm. So the advertised 4 pm close is for the downhill gondola ride, not the slopes. The slopes were roped off at 3:30. K managers if you are reading this, that was kind of annoying. I thought I still had another three runs. Lots of people were a bit upset (Wha the fuk!, Jezuus!, Oh come on!, etc.) but since it was the first day of the season, not really very upset.

The storm probably kept a lot of people home that would have otherwise made the drive, I'm guessing.ski wrote:11:30 - 2pm . . . . . All fun, no lines . . . Re: LIVE REPORTS HERE?
I was there from 11 AM till 3:15 PM. I was pleasantly surprised that I could ski down instead of walking down and that they had groomed Rime and Upper Reason. Saw and skied with a few Zoners including Rusty in costume. After 12 PM there were no lift lines and you could ski right up to the lift. I did many laps in the next 3 hours. I decided to quit at 3:15 because my legs were tired and I still had to climb the stairs. Didn't realize at that time that I would have been forced to stop skiing anyway at 3:30. I think they closed at that time because of the lack of skiers at that time.Streamtracker wrote:I didn't get up on the Mtn until 1:30. By then the crowd had thinned out and there was no lift line. I hope that a lot of snow falls for those of you still up there who will be skiing tomorrow. We had to head home in the snow so today was our only day of skiing and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was quite cold and I was glad to have been in full gear.

They closed the triple around 3:40-3:45 yesterday. Not sure exactly, but we skied all the way down and were at the car at 3:50 and they cut people off 3 chairs behind us.Ski_the_Moguls wrote:Anyone know how late NRT ran on Sunday?Marc Shepherd wrote:If closing time is at 4, then stay open till 4.K Ski Patroler wrote:Would you like to go home an extra half hour later? Re: LIVE REPORTS HERE?
I realize it is for downloading but on a normal day the 4 PM is LAST CHAIR UP. You would still have to wait for the chair to clear and everyone to get off the hill.K Ski Patroler wrote:K1 was open till 4.Marc Shepherd wrote:If closing time is at 4, then stay open till 4.K Ski Patroler wrote:Would you like to go home an extra half hour later? Re: LIVE REPORTS HERE?
Skiied from about 9:15 to noon. Not crowded, snow was nice, bluebird skys. Good first day out. Walkway was not used. One lone tower gun running on Lower Mouse trap. New K Link bypass was a brilliant idea! Why this wasn't done years ago?????? Got my power back this morning before I left. Still no able or High Speed internet. I am moving to the dish, cable doesn't work with all these weather events and trees!!
