So it's prejudiced then when political commentators refer to "The Black vote" or "The Latino vote" or "The Jewish vote" and assume that, for example, 90% of black people will vote for the Democratic Party candidate? I think not. Context definitely matters, not just the assumption.

All ethnic groups have their own ideosyncracies, their own stereotypical behaviors and traits and things other people can poke fun at. We can joke about our differences and stereotypes as long as everyone understands what's being said is being said in jest. Unfortunately, on a public message board, not everyone is going to be in on the joke and we need to be at bit more careful.
That's right on target, IMO. They probably do read Kzone and I don't think a lot of them would appreciate "the jokes". If I were one of them, I wouldn't like it. Again, Kzone is a public open board, not a bar where you joke around with your friends.

Of course, in a bar, you can be overheard and it still might not be so funny to a bystander, and most people understand that. [Generalizing for effect] Ever notice how a white person telling an ethnic joke about Black or Asian people will look around first to see if anyone of that ethnicity is within earshot? People seem to be sensitive to being hurtful/insulting in person but not so much on a message board like KZone, even though one can be "overheard".

A priest, a preacher and a Rabbi walked into their favorite bar, where they would get together two or three times a week for drinks and to talk shop.
On this particular afternoon, someone made the comment that preaching to people isn't really all that hard. A real challenge would be to preach to a bear.
One thing led to another and they decided to do an experiment. They would all go out into the woods, find a bear, preach to it, and attempt to convert it.
Seven days later, they're all together to discuss the experience.
Father Flannery, who has his arm in a sling, is on crutches, and has various bandages, goes first.
"Well," he says, "I went into the woods to find me a bear. And when I found him I began to read to him from the Catechism. Well, that bear wanted nothing to do with me and began to slap me around. So I quickly grabbed my holy water, sprinkled him and, Holy Mary Mother of God, he became as gentle a lamb. The bishop is coming out next week to give him first communion and confirmation."
Reverend Billy Bob spoke next. He was in a wheelchair, with an arm and both legs in casts, and an IV drip. In his best fire and brimstone oratory he claimed, " WELL brothers, you KNOW that we don't sprinkle! I went out and I FOUND me a bear. And then I began to read to my bear from God's HOLY WORD! But that bear wanted nothing to do with me. So I took HOLD of him and we began to wrestle. We wrestled down one hill, UP another and DOWN another until we came to a creek. So I quick DUNKED him and BAPTIZED his hairy soul. And just like you said, he became as gentle as a lamb. We spent the rest of the day praising Jesus."
They both looked down at the rabbi, who was lying in a hospital bed. He was in a body cast and traction with IV's and monitors running in and out of him. He was in bad shape.
The rabbi looks up and says, "Looking back on it, circumcision may not have been the best way to start."

i think you missed my point. You are describing Social Studies situations. Now, if you said an individual WILL vote a certain way because most of their group votes that way, then that would be prejudice.
For example, if a Republican candidate ignored a black person on the street because he assumed they were going to vote Democratic no matter what, then I would call that prejudice.

Google Asian invasion and racist. Term has been around a while. Why does kzo ne end upat #3 I. These results? My guess is that nobody other than weathergoof cares.
How about Chink, Gook, Zero, Jap, Slant Eyed, Yellow, ChiCom, Zip invasion? That's racist.
Watch out skiersleft, there's a Euro invasion coming! A South American invasion coming! An African invasion....A Greenland and then an Antarctic invasion coming.
And maybe some Eskimos, wherever they are from.
Spend your online time more wisely.
Oriental Invasion, out.
And by the above post, I am only trying to make a point and it does not reflect my personal views. I dig Asian broads.

This is laughable coming from someone who is clearly a bigot, at least with regard to homosexuals.

You probably stumbled upon this hit when you googled the terms:
The fear that we had in the late 80's and early 90's with Japan we today have with China. We always need a boogeyman. The boogeymen of choice today are Asians and Muslims. It's sad. And very often leads to bias and prejudice. You should educate yourself more, but I won't hold my breath.

I am the furthest thing from a bigot. I may stereotype in the cause of humor, butt I accept all creeds, colors ,denominations and orientations....and whatever else people may bigot against.
You, on the other hand, are a Chincken Little. OMG! "Asian Invasion is Racist! The sky is falling." Take a poll of the Asians you ski with and get back to us with their thoughts. And I want a Marist or Quinnipiac poll with a plus or minus of three percent backing up your facts.
Suck it, Idiot.
