It's almost even civil sometimes in here
And I'll follow with a hats off to you creators and admins. I sincerely believe that the good you all do here will never be fully understood by any of you. Thanks Brofo's, keep it up.
No, I think we know. We're making the world safe for nonsense and stupidity.

Question for some of you have been on the board longer than I have. Wondering if any of the gladed trails will be open in time for Christmas, if not earlier? Is Thankgiving too much of a wish???

I've been up at K the week before Christmas with waste deep powder in the trees. Awesome week where it dumped just about every day. I've also been up where it was just mud. You just never know! Thanksgiving is probably about 10% chance a gladed trail is open.
The very first "chat" was on the RSN forums, Killington had its own sub-forum
Then Killington absorbed it into their own website. There were 2 different invocation of that one, the 2nd one looked more like this (phpbb)
Credit for the idea of starting our own board has to go to shortski, he emailed a few of us a couple of months before K got rid of the Kchat board saying he felt it would happen soon and had already set up a board of his own to transition to. Sure enough he was correct. We started on that board but quickly realized it was not robust enough so we quickly transitioned to this phpbb board.
Another small tidbit - I actually emailed Greg (owner of AlpineZone) and asked his permission to use the "Zone" in the name - he said he was perfectly fine with that.

It should also be mentioned that the "Insider" name was not "perfectly fine".
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.
