You could have found Dork videotaping at the bottom of the course on 3D. He will be there tomorrow too. I know he had to ski to the course,Dickc wrote:So sorry to hear that Ty! I saw KMS clothing today on the North Peak at Sunday River and wondered if Dork was here. I would say welcome, and look me up to ski, but I guess that is out! Take yourself over to either the Grand Summit or the Jordan Hotel and get a full Spa treatment. I think they have that hot tub others have suggested too. Might be worth the added expense. I do hope it heals quickly! If there is anything I can do, let me know as I am on mountain. Will me at Maine Adaptive tomorrow both volunteering and bringing my handicapped son for his first lesson of the year.

Does it count if there is work involved?Dickc wrote:Dork had to ski? Is that day one?tyrolean_skier wrote:You could have found Dork videotaping at the bottom of the course on 3D. Try foam rolling your groin. I've been doing foam and ball rolling of my various injuries over the past few months and it work really well. I strained my groin a couple weeks ago trail running and foam rolling really helped shorten the recovery time. I wish I knew about this technique earlier in my life. It works great. There are a bunch of YouTube videos to show you how it's done. Good luck.

Right, but once you have it, its for life.
And don't listen to the guy who said stretch ASAP. if its torn you'll make it so much worse.

Feel better Ty.
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

Make sure you eat lots of Chinese food and take in a lot of movies. You never see any Jews getting hurt on the slopes, do you? It's all about the egg rolls and spare ribs.tyrolean_skier wrote:As many of you already know from Facebook, I suffered what appears to be a groin injury after a fall sustained at Sunday River. I cannot walk without assistance. I am currently laying in bed. I borrowed some crutches from ski patrol for the weekend because Dork and kids must be at mountain for competition. I don't know how long I will be out but hopefully it's weeks and not months.
And make sure you rush back to the slopes as quickly as possible, just as you did with your last injury. That seems to have worked really well for you.
As for stretching out the pulled groin muscle, that's the worst thing you could do for it. Not sure why anyone would suggest that. You don't pull a muscle that's already healing from already being pulled. Not good advice at all. Just stick with the Lo-Mein and you'll be fine.

FOOL, opportunity missed. Ty is on the injury list for awhile. Can't ski so has time to do other things, like make CHICKEN PARM. And I thought you were quick on your posts.junior wrote:Make sure you eat lots of Chinese food and take in a lot of movies. You never see any Jews getting hurt on the slopes, do you?
