Re: NSR RIP BB King
Saw him a number of times through the years from the Atlantic City Music Festival in early August 1969 through an outdoor blues show somewhere in Connecticut some time in the 1990s. I even rode with him in the elevator at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis once. Given where he started, he had a remarkable life with amazing influence on blues guitarists.

Re: NSR RIP BB King
as a kid wore out "live at the regal" and "blues is king" learning his licks. then many years later, had the privilege of meeting and working on a couple projects with him. a true gentleman and real american treasure. he was the "father" to bloomfield, clapton, beck and all the others. long live the king ...

Re: NSR RIP BB King
I only saw him live once at the Fillmore East a few nights before the venue closed. Albert King (another blues guitarist) also played that night. I'm not sure if most here are aware but there' been a big legal fight going on between BB's family & his manager over his estate.
God rest his soul.

B.B. King's Bluesville, my go to station on SiriusXM. Maybe I'll take a walk past the club for lunch.
There, that's about right.
