Skied there back in the early 70's a bunch when I was ski bumming in the area. Place was owned by a guy named Sam. I was under the impression he use to be a farmer, and somehow got into turning his land into a ski area. He had no snow making back then, but use to brag (and I'm not making this up) that his grooming was so good the snow would blow out of the woods, and stay on the trail. I wasn't that fond of it back then: too many trails cut on the bias. But if they resurrect it, I'll have to pay a visit for old times sake.

Tenney has some interesting trails, amusing low angle glades and low skier traffic so good snow surfaces when Ullr delivers. The summit chair was the slowest I have ever ridden and makes any K chair seem like a rocket. My parents with frugal so we skied Tenney a bit in the 60's and was a welcome change from King Ridge. Given a choice I would head to Cannon or Wildcat, but if the summit chair is running and you are patient it can be a fun day of skiing sinuous trails looping through the conifers. It used to be easy to score free or nearly so Tenney tickets from coordinators who sold Ski NH tickets.

I'm about 50 minutes door to door. Never been to Tenney always drive the extra 20 minutes to Cannon or Loon. I'll check it out. Sounds like a good place on a powder day when the large places are swamped.
