I'm guessing he/she is talking about the ramp to KBL at the NW corner of the slope side deck. Or it could be the ramp off the top platform of K1 Gondola. That's why I think naming both the lodge and the lift 'K1' isn't a good idea. "I'll meet you at K1" just gets you separated and frustrated.spanky wrote:Where is the K1 handicap ramp?

Re: Broken ankle
Could also be the ramp going from the Gondola down to the K1 Peak Lodge. It is heated but can still be slippery especially in ski boots.Mister Moose wrote:I'm guessing he/she is talking about the ramp to KBL at the NW corner of the slope side deck. Re: Broken ankle
It was the ramp outside the front door of the K1 lodge. Heard from Killington this morning and I'm satisfied with resolution.

Re: Broken ankle
Dr said 8 weeks no sking but if I heal OK, groomers in 8 weeks. Didn't think it was possible to break ankle walking in ski boots but I hit something on the ramp that stopped my boot from sliding and bent it back in a way I wouldn't have thought possible.

The litigious society that we live in today blows, just because something bad happens to you doesn't automatically mean that someone else owes you something for it.
Sorry you broke your ankle, sh*t happens. I had a very similar incident happen to me and it sucked. I could have sued multiple entities associated with a large commercial construction project but the bottom line was that i wasn't being careful enough and wasn't paying enough attention to where I was walking. I'm much more careful now.
Be sure you have a really good orthopedic doctor, if you live in NJ i highly recommend Dr Dagastini on Rt 206 in Bedminster. He has the mouth of a truck driver but he is the guy that all the others doctors in the area go to when they need an orthopedic doctor.
