Need some off hill advice

Post by Colonel »

Hello
Up for the week with the family including 6 year old twins. Planning on possibly not skiing Tuesday. Looking for suggestions for some other activities (indoors). Don't mind driving a bit. Thanks.

Not entirely indoors but "VINS" in Queeche is cool. It is a place where they rescued birds of prey and have other programs to go along with them. My kids always enjoyed it. Check out: http://www.vinsweb.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory and Gardens

Located in Deerfield, MA which is a long 2 hr drive from the K. The twins will LOVE the beautiful butterflies & tropical environment (and Dad will like the cool collection of live creepy crawlers..!)

Ice skating at either Spartan or Giorgetti Arena, bowling at Bowlerama; all in Rutland. As others said, Rock Climbing (also Rutland) or Montshire Museum (about an hour away).

Thank you all for the fine suggestions.

The family chose to go to the Vermont institute of natural science (VINS). Very much enjoyed lunch on the way there at the Long Trail Brewery. Also was nice to see the covered bridges on the drive as the kids had never seen one before. Will keep the other suggestions for next time.

A lot of people just lurk because they don't want to be picked on if they post.

Especially by a guy who uses multiple personalities to question why a person has posted so few times.
