Re: Obama's world
Interesting compilation of approval ratings of recent presidents.
This shows average ratings over the entire term. Who'd have thunk Nixon would score higher than Obama? That HW would score higher than Reagan?

Re: Obama's world
Actually, those rankings make a lot of sense when understood as the average across the entire term. Truman had an extended period of low ratings and left office with the lowest rating of almost any modern president; perhaps lower than Nixon. Truman is now viewed by most historians as a second tier success, just below Washington, Lincoln and FDR. JFK's approval ratings always stayed high as he was immensely popular although he enjoyed less actual policy success. Eisenhower's popularity was as much a carryover from WWII as it was from anything he did while in office.

Re: Obama's world
Of course, Gallop also shows Obama left office with an approval rating of 59%. Only Eisenhower, Reagan and Clinton did better for the post-war presidents.

ever since the IRS scandal it was obvious they were using gov intel to further their agenda..more than a smidgen too...once the smoke gets thick enough the fire will erupt and the rats will jump ship by the dozens...In describing the violations, the FISA court said the illegal searches conducted by the NSA under Obama were "widespread" and created a "very serious Fourth Amendment issue."
These new discoveries come from a recently unsealed FISA court document dated April 26, 2017 and center around a hearing dated October 26, 2017, just days before the 2016 election, in which the FISA court apparently learned for the first time of "widespread" and illegal spying on American citizens by the NSA under the Obama administration.
"The October 26, 2016 Notice disclosed that an NSA Inspector General (IG) review...indicated that, with greater frequency than previously disclosed to the Court, NSA analysts had used U.S.-person identifiers to query the result of Internet "upstream" collection, even though NSA's section 702 minimization procedures prohibited such queries...this disclosure gave the Court substantial concern."

Re: Obama's world
I expect some defenders of the Constitution to spout off over here very soon about the vast overreach of the obama administration in the use of FISA and other surveillance to illegally spy on US citizens.. I'm sure you're all furious over that violation of constitutional rights... yeah right like that'll ever happen....let's hear the hypocritical and "hillaryous" excuses for why it wasn't "really" spying but simply "keeping tabs on the opposition party via use of govt apparatus" which of course is still spying and illegal...
who;s gonna be the fall guy? rice? jarrett? surely the clown has a fall guy....or maybe he expected to simply install the predecessor of his choice to insure none of this ever saw the light of day...how'd that work out hopey dope?
as soon as we get a new FBI director we should start seeing some inquiries into the abuses of the last administration that were so blatanly obvious to anyone with even one eye half open...
I told you all when this investigation first started that the D's were gonna have a lot more to fear than the R's...
let the hillaryum continue in perpetuity...

I expect you to put Trump on blast when he permanently reauthorizes the FISA Amendments Act, introduced by Republican Senator Cotton, which was the act used to spy on Trump, Flynn, and other Americans.madhatter wrote:I expect some defenders of the Constitution to spout off over here very soon about the vast overreach of the obama administration in the use of FISA and other surveillance to illegally spy on US citizens..
