Wednesday Mar 7
Snow starting around 8:30 this morning laid down a good inch or two by the time we got out late morning. Sliding was easy; visibility not so much. Wind was picking up, providing resistance at times and making lift comfort less than ideal. Got some nice runs in but called it a day around 1:00.

Late Day Report: Looked about 2" had fallen earlier [in line w/ Bubba's report] and started off into a nice fog that froze onto my goggles [temp ~ 20 Deg]. Pretty good skiing on the nats; not too much different elsewhere. Just before 3:00, the fog 'cleared' and it started snowing leaving a good 2" for the closing bell run.
ROTD: Closing bell Escapade -> Flume. Was able to beat the 802 bus crowd to get the late day freshies which were real nice on Escapade. Flume in darn good shape with some bone still showing, but great snow [still had the untouched Monday pow on it].
Snowdon and the Canyon were where the action was. Took a somewhat disappointing lap down South Ridge where Breakaway was still pretty gnarly. Stash Woods were OK but not as good as on Monday.
Thimble was excellent and Vertigo the rest of the way down pretty good. Leaving Stichline until after the next storm [i.e., today].
Bittersweet was awesome again. Skye Hawk also very good with technical turns required.
Capped the day off at the open mic at the liquid art; great time playing music with some good friends.

This report is for Thursday, March 8.
Everything I skied was pretty good. Skied a few tree runs to avoid the fog and some were better than others. The snow was pretty dense so it would require effort to move it around. They opened early today so I missed the first tracks but was still able to find some freshies especially in the woods. It was still snowing when I came back from dinner but it's not acculating too much.

Boarded skyeship a few minutes before 9am... by the time we were in needles there was already people at mid station ready to load from the basin side. Crazy how quickly things got tracked up. A couple warm up laps through needles, cruise control, Chunnel etc were very good... but after about 3 runs that side was pretty tracked out. Left around 10:15 over to pico for some nice outpost laps... several tree runs w first tracks still. Zero visibility up top, but snow and conditions were great. Dense snow as mentioned but overall a great day. Back to K after lunch, finished with some runs off k1... catwalk was in prettt good shape as well. Racers edge area woods were deep and quiet, lots of untouched snow until 3:30 when I called it a day.

I live next to skyeship, so yes I loaded skyeship on a powder day.

He loaded at 9Am and as he noted, people had already skied down to the midstation by the time he got there. Generally you want to get first tracks on a powder day.
