Brewers Fest

Post by madhatter »

saw them setting this up in the parking lot yesterday...Didn't realize all the vendors will be outside...Looks like all of bay one and half of bay two are closed off as of today...be nice if the forecast got a little sunnier for the weekend...

From Kingdom Brewing:
Romanov’s Revenge – 18.2 %
Our robust Maple Russian Imperial Stout was made with 100% maple sap secretly combined with copious amounts of Oats and aged in Smuggler’s Notch Bourbon barrels for 8 months. It’s not only the first legal 18.2% beer in Vermont, but it’s also the only true 100% Vermont Beer, made with nothing but local Vermont ingredients.

Lawsons:
Pow Pow Double IPA – 8.5%
Hazy, pale orange in appearance and emits aromatic qualities of pineapple, peach, orange, and dried citrus on the nose.
Collaboration with Trillium Brewing Co.

No Foley Bros?

I saw Foley but no Prospect.

My kid had the Pow Pow - said it was really good.

$45 for 45oz of beer???? Am I missing something here? And you better have a designated driver, you are not driving home after that! Oh I forgot, you get a free glass

It was pretty good, actually. Never would have guessed it's 18% ABV.

First session was nice. Longest line was Lawson's (as expected), but it moved well and I didn't see anyone run out of product. No issue using up your tickets in the 3 hours. Well organized event overall. Saw Mike S. walking around.

If there's a repeat next year, they could either use more bathrooms or they ought to let people know they can leave and re-enter to use the ones in KBL.

I wonder why they didn't do it right in front of K1 ? or in the Snowshed lot?

Looks like someone made some money? Lots of peeps at the 4PM - going to dinner early tonight before all the drunks roll out.

Saw people at the pickle happy that did the 4-7 session.

They were complaining about the crowds and how 6 out of the 8 vendors ran out of beer.

Warming hut had one heater and everyone was cold.

Glad I did not go. Was a good social event, so I was told.
