My reality is so completely different from yours...that’s why I read your posts. I try to understand your perspective, but I think it’s you who has a disconnect with reality.

I don't side with murderers who chop people into pieces, while they are still alive, even if it means we can sell more weapons. But that’s just me. Jared and his father-in-law have a different view.

Okay, I get it. Because I think we should figure human rights into the various equations of running the government, I have no clue about life. I’m viewing it from a one-percenters bubble. I hear ya.

Do tell miss antoinette....cuz as I remember it you blame trump for theloss of your catastrophic plan under obama, and railed on about it even after you were informed that it was a direct result of the ACA...as far as SA goes, they are a HUGE oil exporter and a strategic ally in the middle east and there's not a chance in hell that we are going to sever ties w them over kashoggi....left wing idiots have been blithering about trump starting WW3 since the day he took office, yet here you are suggesting we take punitive action against SA, a sure fire way to create a powder keg in the middle east...

I don't side with murderers who chop people into pieces, while they are still alive, even if it means we can sell more weapons. But that’s just me. Jared and his father-in-law have a different view. so let's hear your brilliant diplomatic suggestions on that?

here's a newsflash they do that kind of thing ALL the time in Islamic countries, it's nothing new...Kashoggi was not a US citizen and he was not murdered on US soil...sux for him but I'm pretty sure "sell more weapons" is low on the list of reasons why the US has very little ability to do anything about it....but I'm sure your feelings are a better guide here....

I think you're selling the US short. KSA needs us, just as we need them ... I'd argue they need us a lot more. Just throwing up our hands saying there's nothing we can do because they're an ally is just a cop out. Heck, Pompeo even alluded to the WH's options as it relates to penalties ... of course he's backpedaling now ... justifying why we're not taking action.

Meanwhile, WH has no issues rattling Europe / China's cage.

I think you're selling the US short. KSA needs us, just as we need them there ya go...and neither has plans to upset that over kashoggi...... I'd argue they need us a lot more. I dunno about that I;d say both have the ability to greatly harm the other in one way or another... Just throwing up our hands saying there's nothing we can do because they're an ally is just a cop out. Heck, Pompeo even alluded to the WH's options as it relates to penalties ... of course he's backpedaling now ... justifying why we're not taking action.

cuz really who cares? this happens in the middle east almost daily as well as in other parts of the world...but sure lets ding trump for this too why not?...I don't give two sh!ts about kashoggi....he knew what he was doing and paid the price for it...the only reason the MSM and leftists care is because they want to bang trump over the head with it.... :zzz

Agree totally. It really comes down to the supposed great dealmaker actually not being very good at making deals at all. His business acumen has more to do with being able to sell his bullsh!t to prospective buyers and then not feeling guilty about screwing people over and not paying them. Those skills don't really translate well to diplomacy or politics. You can see it in international relations and in his dealings with Congress. In both areas he's been woefully ineffective, especially if you just look at his results. He's gotten 1 major policy bill done on taxes where his own party was dying to do it so there was no real dealmaking, and he got NAFTA 2.0 which really wasn't a major change from the original. And that has yet to be ratified. Apart from those limited accomplishments we've gotten 2 years of nada. Guy couldn't even get funding for his vanity wall from his own party!

Edit - actually it looks like things are happening with China, and if things get done there it will be his biggest accomplishment. But so far all I'm seeing is a gradual return to status quo before he got involved, and you shouldn't really get points for fixing the problems you created.

Hannity deleting all his Cohen tweets from Twitter is kind of funny.

Interesting piece I just read that makes a great point:
As my colleague Tara Golshan writes, the difference between the $1.3 billion in wall funding Trump has and the $5 billion in wall funding Trump wants is $3.7 billion — peanuts in the context of the $4 trillion federal budget. There’s plenty Trump could offer House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in return. Trump is, after all, the great dealmaker.

But Trump’s offer is, well, nothing. Rather than invite Pelosi and Schumer for a private negotiation, Trump asked them to the Oval Office for a public showdown in front of live cameras. “It’s called transparency,” Trump said. But it’s not transparency. It’s posturing.

I tend to agree. With all the Russia stuff in the news, Trump probably wanted a distraction more than he thought that fiasco would provide any kind of results.

Schumer and Pelosi were considerate the other day.
They could have embarrassed Drumph terribly.
Instead they chose the path of Statesmanship :Toast

Ultimatums are much different than negotiations.
The Presidency is different from casino mgmt.
Failing at both is now nearly certain for your boy.
