Wasnt there a power outage at Bear and Skyship? Maybe that affected their decision to check parking there For a while?Captain Hafski wrote: ↑Jan 16th, '21, 21:19 Apparently, no ressie needed today [Saturday MLK weekend] at Skyeship.
- Over 50 cars parked on N side of Rte 4 [supposed to be closed]. Looks like they mighta moved the "Lot Closed" sign [shocking I know]. And some charging up their E cars at the charging stations K said would not b available.
- Folks moved the cones at the W end of the "open" lot allowing unrestricted access [again, shocking news].
- And, about 1:00, when we arrived, no parking pass checkers at all.
This could be what shuts down K for Covid.
So. Am I gonna get charged with a parking ressie No Show?
At least, got a chuckle from some outa state idiot pulling into the W side [cones moved] of the lot going into the ditch close to rolling over !

Re: Parking Reservations
This morning they were checking reservations on the access road but later (around 10:30) when Skidork went back to pick up my son's girlfriend, he said there was nobody there checking.

Just a guess, but it was probably way too dangerous for employees with road conditions to be standing where people were trying to stoptyrolean_skier wrote: ↑Jan 16th, '21, 22:47 This morning they were checking reservations on the access road but later (around 10:30) when Skidork went back to pick up my son's girlfriend, he said there was nobody there checking.

Re: Parking Reservations
The scanners were still there on the access road when we were heading home at 2:30. BTW there were cars parked on both side of access road all the way down to Snowshed. It made it difficult for two-way traffic.

Re: Parking Reservations
Similar situation at Skyeship Sunday with folks blatantly parking on the other side of the street [in the closed lot and on the street itself.
They were scanning for parking passes in the open lot. Butt, quite a long line at the lift so we ended up driving up to Bear.
Seems to me the use of Parking Ressies to 'limit skier capacity' is a joke.

Re: Parking Reservations
The good news, all of those same people who surely feel "rules are for other people' are highly likely to have quarantined. I cant wait til the holiday mess is over, add a good storm into the mix and all of the entitled asses come out.
