Love the express lanes. Not one single downside in my world.
Then I guess you'll be bummed if they go away.
I get that they don't affect you. Not sure how that translates to "loving" them.
If I thought that this "feature" was here to stay no matter what, I wouldn't waste any time even talking about it. But K was and will be better off without it, and I think the continual negative public reaction may lead them to bail. I see no downside to that.

I keep wondering what they will do with all those RFID gates that are currently going unused after this POWDR experiment gets tossed in the recycle bin. What a waste of time and money that could have been put to better use.
Probably keep them as spares in case other gates break. They are modular and can be swapped easily.

The RFID reader by the K-1 single's gate has been broken for what now? A month? We wonder every morning why they can't swap out the bad one.
a frickin' joke. might as well put one of those unused express gates to good use . think this weekend should be a good test. heard they're expecting a good crowd.

From the KPAA weekly e-mail update; resort information:
Occupancy - This weekend we are at 66% compared to 70% in 2019. Next midweek we are at 68% compared to 55% in 2019. Next weekend we are at 88% compared to 87% in 2019. (MLK)

A quick Express Access observation report from Snowbird, which as you all know is also owned by Powdr, like Killington.
We skied at Alta and Snowbird today on the IKON. Did not observe anyone using the Express Lanes at the Bird. The mountains were not too crowded for a Sunday but then Utah resorts haven’t received significant POW in 3-4 weeks!
The lower base area lifts and Tram at Bird use RFID so Express pass clients can buzz through BUT the other lifts where tickets don’t need to be checked, at least one lift - Mineral Basin Express had a Snowbird employee standing there at the entrance to the Expresss line to inspect passes. She looked bored as she had no takers. I was watching and ready to Booo and Catcall anyone using the Express Lane.
A least for today, looked like Snowbird did not have many takers for Express Access and at least one employee was tasked to stand and check for Express tickets at a key lift. Is this a productive and useful use of an employee?!
I saw a couple of folks use it this past weekend. It did not affect my experience and until it does, I don't really care. If Powdr can make a few extra bucks selling this to a handful of people, good for them.
I'd be curious what the usage level for break even is. Based on reports here, the initial investment of additional equipment has to be in the red still.

Was in the singles lane for the gondi and two fast pass people merged into the line....no problems here. Got to the load area and the lifty split them up and would not let them ride together. Told the lifty they were fast pass and he didn't care. still split them up. Would have thought they would get them to the next gondi so they could ride together...was an unhappy fast pass customer.

I've been following this thread more with amusement than having any real view. Overall, it seems like a good way for Killington to separate some money from some people, which is fine by me - I want Killington to be profitable. So far it seems like the usage is so low that it really has had no impact on my life - maybe 1-2 chairs further back on fairly rare occasions. But from what I've seen, and the scenario above highlights it perfectly - this concept seems to work way better in theory than on the hill. Wouldn't be surprised if it just fades away in a year or two.

fine with them making any additional money but so far this hasn't appeared to pan out. i can see folks using it on saturdays maybe sundays but other than on a couple lifts don't see much need. seems like a significant investment so don't see it just going away. guessing they'll market it harder next season
