thanks for taking me along on the lift ride liv4ski, that was great in its simplicity. no longer able to participate so this is the next best thing, miss it.

Friday 5/20. Noticeably lower and narrower, but holding up pretty well in the heat. Today was 80 degrees and there was a new brook between the Ubar and the lift.

Yes but they'll make the call after this weekend based on snowpack and forecast.

My prediction is no skiing beyond June 1. And the 1st is very much in question. IMHO.

Interesting chat just now with a snowcat mechanic.
Grooming starts at 4 today, then starts again at 4 tomorrow.
I was surprised, since the skiing is so perfect right now. Even the bare section between towers 3 and 4, which looks bad on the webcam, when you're skiing down through there, the snow cover feels really wide.
But he says management wants it all spread out, so will take multiple evenings, especially since lateral snow movement is more difficult.

The mechanic and I agreed that June is uncertain.
I'm very confident though on the lift spinning through Monday.
But remember to bring bug spray. Not attacking yet, but the black flies are launching numerous reconisanse sorties. Had been no sign of them Monday.
