Great Race. Lena Duerr would have won it except for a major mistake in first run. Don't count her out; she is aggressive.

While not the record, Great second place for MS and 5th for Paula.

And though it pains me a bit, congrats to Petra !

Reports are Mikaela was not feeling well before the race and threw up after the second run. Takes nothing away from how Petra V skied however. She deserved the win.

Next race for MS will be a SG in Cortina in over a week.

Thank PJ - I actually did not think she looked great when they were showing Mikaela in the gate at the beginning of the broadcast for the first run. Hope her time off helps her feel better!

Petra was great, and, congrats to the other Americans too!

First of three speed races at Cortina today. MS was 4th in todays DH, only 0.5 seconds behind the winner Goggia. Three Americans in the top 11! A second DH tomorrow and the SG on Sunday.

I'll remember not to read here first tomorrow, understand there isn't a 'no spoilers' caveat. peacock subscription for cycling and skiing is totally worth it for $5 per month. Goggia is tough, good luck to the US women tomorrow.

Another good DH for the Americans with MS 7th and Breezy Johnson 10th. MS was again less than half a second behind the winner. SG tomorrow and MS has a real shot at a win.

A disappointing 7th for MS in the SG at Cortina today. Looks like we will have to wait a little longer for number 83.
