Re: Saturday 2/4
Sunday River is operating a minimum of lifts so they can utilize the extra lift crews to spell the operators and get them warm. I bet that is Killington's modus operandi also. Be kind to the lifties, as it will be cold as hell standing there smiling at you as you get onto the lifts.

Re: Saturday 2/4
stratton is closing their upper mtn lifts and the sun bowl, running 4 lifts on the lower mtn. i'm sure we'll see other areas follow suit in the morning.

I think whatever lift I am on and cold at that time is the coldest lift at Killington lol. That said, it really all depends on where the sun is, what the wind is doing and what angle and exposure. You can make generalizations but it's hard to really nail something down as "the coldest lift" unless we're talking about something like the Summit Quad or Heaven's Gate at the Bush.

Well that's your opinion, but most would agree that the coldest lifts at K are ramshead, south ridge and canyon.newpylong1 wrote: ↑Feb 3rd, '23, 07:24 I think whatever lift I am on and cold at that time is the coldest lift at Killington lol. Re: Saturday 2/4
this whole bidness brings back a very fond tyrolean memory from the wayback machine. was a frigid, very windy saturday and think the only lifts turning were snowshed, maybe the bmq and ole reliable - the snowdon quad. no one else in my ski house went out. place was a ghost town. maybe a couple inches and wind refresh every run. we (and her best friend) hit every run we could from the quad spending most of the day in the snowdon trees before they were on the map. was difficult to ski flush or the toilet because the wind held you up and it was so friggin cold on the runout. truly an epic day. god bless ty. no one more core.
