Copper Mountain had a bubble chair in the 70's. I rode it a few times.

Re: The original Bubble chair
Many (if not all) of these bubbles were made by the Rudkin-Wiley company, which made aftermarket bubbles for pre-existing lifts from other manufacturers. Onset ski area in New Hampshire (present day Crotched Mountain) had one built in 1969, but the chairs were later swapped for regular chairs.

See, this makes me angry. So this sh!t has been available for over 50 years now, yet we still have to spend most of our lift rides freezing our arses off because local ski areas would rather save a few bucks on capital improvements.
First world problems.

Yeah, it's all about saving a few bucks and nothing to do with they were cheaply made, swung too easily in the wind, and caused too many problems.easyrider16 wrote: ↑Mar 17th, '23, 08:58 See, this makes me angry. ...and my friends and I were evacuated off the remaining one, the last day of its use, due to catastrophic failure. It was never used again and was replaced with their first HSQ I believe. (Grand Summit?)

Yep, the Yankee Clipper quad replaced the summit bubble.
