Opening Day?

Re: Opening Day?
It very clearly says there are two possible conditions for a curtailable period and the price of electricity only has to do with one.

Re: Opening Day?
There is another proposal to bring Hydro Quebec power down into New England which so far seems to be favorable using existing transmission corridors and buring where there are non in NH. We are too dependant on natural gas generation with limited pipeline capacity, let alone rising demand. This should help stabilize or lower rates and will be a good source of base load power. Wind and solar are intermitten power.

If you can buy electricity from any one of multiple suppliers, how can you tell if the electrons you purchased are the same ones that show up at your meter?rogman wrote: ↑Oct 31st, '23, 15:33 Demand doesn’t have to be up, capacity could be down, perhaps due to power station or distribution problems.
The whole electric power thing seems pretty shady. They sell you “electrons” which you can’t even see, and then they make you give ‘em back. If you don’t, you can’t have any more.

It may be racist to say this, but I think all electrons look the same. Kind of like identical twins. Probably have different personalities, though. The ones that zap me when I stick a finger in a light socket are definitely jerks.Bubba wrote: ↑Nov 1st, '23, 09:12If you can buy electricity from any one of multiple suppliers, how can you tell if the electrons you purchased are the same ones that show up at your meter?rogman wrote: ↑Oct 31st, '23, 15:33 Demand doesn’t have to be up, capacity could be down, perhaps due to power station or distribution problems.

Re: Opening Day?
Electrons have a contract clause whereby they can subcontract other electrons to do the work.

I guess they're content on losing to MSS, after losing to Sunday River last year. I'm glad we finally have an announcement though.

Mine come from Direct Energy at $0.12 and I can give a rats ass if they come from one of their other suppliers, as long as the lights are on!Bubba wrote: ↑Nov 1st, '23, 09:12If you can buy electricity from any one of multiple suppliers, how can you tell if the electrons you purchased are the same ones that show up at your meter?rogman wrote: ↑Oct 31st, '23, 15:33 Demand doesn’t have to be up, capacity could be down, perhaps due to power station or distribution problems.
