"Good morning, this is the snow report for Friday November 17th. Expect softening conditions out there today as temps will rise to the mid 50's. We're still limited on terrain, skiing on Great Northern down from the Gondi and on Rime, Reason, and Upper East Fall in the North Ridge area. All trails were groomed overnight with the exception of Upper East Fall. Expansion will continue as mother nature permits, but that's not likely until Saturday evening. Until then, you will still end your day by climbing the stairs back to the K1 Gondola for download. Have fun out there and please ski safely."

Hated the hotline - so, I'd call one of the ski shops to get a real reportStormchaser wrote: ↑Nov 17th, '23, 14:23 Anyone remember calling the hotline to get up to date trail and conditions information? it used to sound like that.

While Stormy's report is more what the resort needs, this report speaks volumes of truth . . .wtf021 wrote: ↑Nov 17th, '23, 10:10 "Good morning Beast Fans. Have fun taking the stairs again today you bunch of suckers. While 3 more, make that 4 more, resorts open TTB today, we are still skiing on the same sh*t snow in the glades for the past two weeks. We now have the 10th most open terrain in the east. Ohh, and make sure to drive by the Vale lots during the next few days. You can check out the extra compressors we rented for the World Cup waiting to get picked up. Stay beastly out there!"

a friend called the first run today "terrifying" - frozen. also said it was getting boney. did soften. that snow is old and has gone through almost daily thaw/freezes. definitely a resurface tonite.buckethead wrote: ↑Nov 18th, '23, 10:40 these reports were bad enough when north ridge was the only game east of the mississippi. the attempt seems to be to reach the naive/potential BEAST first-timers - and sacrifice any cred with the skiers who've called the place for home for years and decades.
at least when mtns like magic run into operations snags, they are transparent, and respect their customers enough to know they'll stick around.
these reports are a simple act of bad faith.
