It's going to hit K. Hopefully a glancing blow of the worst.

Re: YIKES!
This is what you call a good old-fashioned Christmas/New Years washout. Used to be that about 6 or 7 out of 10 Christmas / New Years were busts, now it's about 9 out of 10 at least. Will be hordes of people scratching down about 12 open icy scraped off trails. No thanks.

Enough to possibly resurface what is still open after this event but doubt they'll be able to expand much if at all. On the bright side, the bars will be packed and they'll be selling lots of $16 beers.daytripper wrote: ↑Dec 18th, '23, 08:41 It's bad but not that bad, snowmaking temps return tonight and stick around thru Xmas.

Story on TV last night about what a good start to the season Vermont has had; more than the usual amount of snow, good skiing/riding conditions. Story was one at Mad River Glen but their spokesperson acknowledged the r*in coming in and the issues they would have as a result.

Re: YIKES!
areas to the east of us got it much worse as witnessed at waterville & SR. sunday river has a number of roads that look like east mtn rd w sections washed away. not an easy fix in the winter (can't be paved) and an almost impossible task a week before christmas. weeks of snowmaking washed away at all areas. shaping up to be perhaps the worst xmas week in the history of eastern skiing. the videos at SR hearbreaking. very, very sad situation all around.
