There's nothing that makes POTUS look more impotent than yelling, "Vladimir, STOP! " on social media.

Negotiation 101, use the leverage you have. The USA has no leverage over Russia at this point except strengthening Ukraine's position on the battlefield. Trump could even threaten imposing a no-fly zone over Ukraine. That'd get Putin's attention. I don't think asking him over social media is going to work, though.

Instead of wasting time berating Zelensky, maybe Trump and Vance should have actually listened to and thought about what he had to say. He was 100% right.

I've always figured that Trump is compromised by Putin in some way and has to capitulate to him.

That or "total stupidity" are the only realistic explanations for how Trump acts towards Russia.

Both could be correct. They are not mutually exclusive.

Yeah Joe wasn't compromised by Zelensky or anything.

And sending billions after billions to Ukraine with no end game in sight was wicked smart.

So giving Putin everything he wants is smart? How is that?

CIA official's son killed while fighting in Ukraine, for Russia, spy agency says

The son of a senior Central Intelligence Agency official died last year “while fighting in the conflict in Ukraine,” a CIA spokesperson said Friday.

The spokesperson confirmed the death of Michael Gloss — who is the son of Juliane Gallina, the CIA’s deputy director for digital innovation — after a Russian news site reported that the 21-year-old American had signed up to serve with Russia’s forces.
