I'm not sure if they've been able to get back to it with the amount of recovery that was needed. I was told they're running on GN all the way to the summit, Reason and Upper Double Dip (which were both bony before the r*in) and a bunch still on Snowdon. Time is running out for Caper by the weekend, but who knows.

k will be adding 2 ttb trails to the mix this weekend with the superstar pod opening saturday. guessing they'd probably like to make some snow to connect it to the k1 in front of the lodge. otherwise it's walking. btw would be surprised if any other eastern area is adding terrain this weekend.newpylong1 wrote: ↑Dec 1st, '22, 20:20 I'm not sure if they've been able to get back to it with the amount of recovery that was needed. caper was in the plan for t-giving. just ran out of time. and now the weather's been very uncooperative. very long shot for this weekend. i'm sure they'd love to get it open for a number of reasons.

If you make unforced errors like not making snow earlier this week, then you can expect zero new terrain to open. Sunday River expanded terrain.

It looks like they are working on Caper amongst a lot of Snowdon and Upper DD, perhaps there is a chance by tomorrow.

At 4pm guns on:
Upper double D
GN Wraparound to NR
Full house
Upper Bunny
Caper T2B
Mostly Ratniks, that’s been their go to gun this year, not the K3000.

Ratniks wont open Cascade.
That's what Killington is measured by.
Until then, have fun at the mini gym.

It's good to see a reduction in K3000 usage when they aren't required. The Baby Snow Giants (Rats) have similar flow numbers at colder temps using half the air. Section of Crashcade below gondie has SR7 towers.

Looks like a good amount going on today. Snowshed, Caper, more neverending resurfacing due to r*in on Snowdon, maybe Frolic? Upper Dip (bet that's rotd), Blue Heaven and Trax.

Surprised they don't have fans at bottom of Snowshed. Are they using them at Ramshead?

Re: Snowmaking - It's Not The Same
Yesterday they claimed to have 151 guns on and today's number is 212. Anything over 200 I assume is pretty close to maxed out.

Re: Snowmaking - It's Not The Same
and where did you get this information ...
my eye test says both days were rather similar unless there were guns running that were out of sight. think they are running close to max.
