Hmm I dont know how this went political, but ill play..
Hmmmmmmm whos been in control of congress for the past couple years? And please remind me who approves budgets? NEXT!!
We can play this game ALL day....liberals tend to forget the FACTS!!! What leader rode the wave of a fictitious economy during the DOT COM era? Who takes the flack for the fallout from that? Definitely NOT the guy who should. Certainly it was a bubble that should've burst earlier and the onus would've fallen onto the right person, however he was too busy banging interns

do you believe that Bush caused Katrina too? Liberals LOVE to spin!
Oh yeah and I hope you never make more than $250K a year cause YOUR choice wants to make you pay for being successful...yeah THATS THE AMERICAN WAY?...NOT!
remember sh*t trickles down...if the companies get charged more taxes for making money they will pass that cost onto the consumer and dont think thats not the truth.
Im sorry...ADMINS you can break this out and move it to a political forum, but G-Smashed started it.

so long as we are discussing who dun what, What fully demacrat controlled government sent us into a recession and screwed up Social Security and started Medicare/Medicaid? Both houses and the president pushed through the spending. "I shall not seek, nor will I accept, my parties nomination..." 'cause he knew he could not win.KMartman wrote:G-smashed wrote: I buy most of my stuff at the shop next door to Basin but due to the poor economy that YOUR guys created I need to save my money so I will keep my season tune where it is.

Which fully demacrat government saw gas prices double while fuel lines were the norm, sent us into a triple double on inflation, unemployment and interest rates, cut our military nearly beyond repair and started the rapid rise of the deficit?
Oops, wrong forrum, better move it to Political.

But since we're here let me call on my incredible long term memory for a second...
Gas lines first happened in 1974. I remember it because I couldn't get to Vermont, not even Huntah on one tank of gas.
The guy who was president at the time may have been a Democrat by neocon standards but it was our beloved Richard M. Nixon! He did us all a favor and resigned that summer after the gas crisis was over.
There was a second crunch during the Jimmy (I'll never lie to ya) Carter administration so I fixed his ass! I voted for Anderson that year. I guess it's my fault Reagan got in.
And.. before I let you off the hook don't you ski at the same mountain as this guy?

Are you palling around with terrorists?

Politicians and Facts?????
Now there is an oxymoron for you.
I was told an entire year before the '74 gas thing just what the price would be and about the shortage scam.
At the time I just couldn't wrap my head around it.
All the crap going on now is just the result of Bush's buddies ripping you off for everything they can lay their hands on.

Re: Rick Torrey
What does it mean "being a patriot"? Does that mean if you disagree with his policy (any policy) you're not? Does it mean that it is unpatriotic to argue against a government policy instituted by him or his admininstration?icedtea wrote:tellitlikeitis wrote: history will show that george w bush was a visionary president and a patriot... he will be vindicated... no question about it
As for his being a "visionary", that's all well and good, and his "vision" may end up being viewed differently than today through the eyes of history, but his implementation and the arrogance of this administration in how they went about going forward with that vision will be viewed as incompetent no matter what lens one views this administration.

Again liberals tend to forget the facts and past of their chosen party, they tend to lean on some fictitious hope that their choice has the answer.
Good luck Tuesday.
