It still has all the kids programs, but I think they have moved away from calling it a family zone the way ASC did. Timberline has always been a park, but it has become a lot more popular since it became the Peace Park.

Wait, what - it was not always a park

It was turned into a park pretty recently too...10 years ago?

Wasn't always a park...

But since becoming the Peace Park, they blow parts of Timberline 15' deep treeline to treeline to make features. That's Ramshead snowmaking resources claimed by Woodward.

they could and should dial those things back a little to put down a base on header. park rats wouldn't even notice...

Ramshead is a flippin mess . . . They need less parks more decent beginner terrain . . Stop trying to put little jumps, rails, and other dumb features all over the place . . . WTF

Some people just can't see past their own nose if it doesn't affect them.

Anyway, I don't love the endless creep of the mini features, but because a lot of the kids seem to love them whatever. But when they are essentially all over Easy Street now with Timberline being the big park, not having snow on Header stinks.

Timberline is so highly utilized that we don’t bother to try to lap it from 10-2 on an average Saturday. Lines out the maze. Ramshead may have more capacity in header but until that lift is replaced why bother.

Aging park rat out…

They actually reconfigured that lift queue in hopes of making it more efficient. They need to run the lift a lot faster and do a better job filling the chairs.

It's an aging Poma HSQ, don't push it. You won't like what that gets you.

Looks like the mountain took a major beating from this latest piss fest. From the looks of the webcams, all the snow they recently made at Pico and Snowshed was for naught. The north ridge is even starting to show thin spots.

Hopefully we are about to turn the corner on temps. Only 2 and half weeks until the Christmas week hoards arrive. Blowing snow on 2 trails at a time and a few spot guns elsewhere to cover up what is about to be boilerplate ice isn't going to open up enough terrain to spread out the holiday masses.
