Hey, I've been on flights where people around me were farting so bad they should've called the HazMat gang. A guy with a match could've taken the whole plane down just by lighting one up! Wasn't there so I don't know what went on, but this strikes me more as a cya move than anything else. An expensive cya to boot. Falcon's ain't cheap to operate and diversions cost airlines lots of money.
You're completely missing the point. You can call anyone a terrorist for doing just about anything and get away with it. Farting? Probably not, but obviously the flight attendants, air marshall(s) (were there any?), and pilots saw the need to land. I'll take the pilots decision on the need to land and be escorted as reason enough.
