We rent our house short term during the season. Usually I'm fully booked by now. This year I'm 30-40% booked. Alot of inquires, but nobody is booking. I believe they are all waiting to see if there is a turnaround.

businesses, particularly ski shops on the access rd have to be hurting. regarding other areas, plattekill finally opened late last week with 3 trails & 2 lifts. mrg also opened last week. rock skis only need apply. pretty dismal.

Hell, even the guy at the New Hampshire Liquor Store said they rely upon increased skier and snowmobile traffic for business. They are hurting also and are miles from the resorts, just on the main routes.

The ads are normal though. I heard a couple today that are similar to the norm this time of year. Ski and stay for cost of logding mid week type stuff. May be more discounted than normal, but same type "winter" ads.

Mountain Creek is actually closed at least until next week. Might hit 70 degrees on Saturday here in NYC. Previous all time record is 63.
