someone took my poles early in the season on snowdon. jokes on them, though...they were bent and in pretty rough shape. a pair that looked very similar to mine were sitting nearby my skis, pretty lonely. i think it may have been a mistake.
i cant justify spending much money on poles anyway and am inclined to agree with Crock540. and when i get new skis i'll get a good lock!

Over Prez week this year(while I was on the D.L. with trhe shoulder) my 9 year old left his skis outside the KSC, they are his new Dynastars and he loves them. We returned later that evening and luckily soeone had put them in the office, he is now very dilligent about bringing his skis to the locker.

I've been skiing for 6 seasons. I've owned 13 pairs of skis, and one set of poles. Bent, beat up, aluminum, shitty poles. Poles are poles.

I wrap bumper stickers around my aluminum poles so if they do get hawked I have a slight chance of recognizing them on the slopes. And I pity the fool who takes my equip and gets caught.

Someone once suggested spray painting skis black. I thought it was a good idea, but never had the nads to try it out. Maybe I'll do it on a pair of rockers...

I went back a few time during the day and scanned the racks but couldn't find them. I did forget to mention that we were left one Solomon pole as a replacement. What I can't understand is if you bust a pole mid-day, why steal when the rental shop is more than willing to loan you a pole for the rest of the day.

I've got an old pair of white/pink Scott's you can have. Find me at mogul challenge if you want em. One small crease, but in good shape...

weirdest thing happened to me at Heavenly last week. parked my skis and poles at the mid mountain lodge and when I came back my poles were hanging on somebody else's skis near mine!

Probably because at the end of the day you would have to return the rental pole. This way they got to keep them and don't have to buy any new poles. Whoever did this is not a very nice person.

They might have wound up on the ground and someone picked them up and put them on the skis without knowing if they were the right skis.
