i have "heard" that they will open if the weather & the $$$ forecast are approp for them. a well placed source informs that while they will not open stupid early or close way late.......... things look good pending the weather/wealth outlook.

If Stowe, Okemo, Sugarbush or any other resort in VT opens early because of weather, Killington will open early also. Can't imagine they wouldn't...

I'm in for a bottle of boones farm wine...

Also, Welcome to K Zone iriponsnow

Umm....people....don't post your entries here. This was just a poll to see if we should do the contest again this year.

How about a contest for the first snowfall. We could always hike if the mountain isn't opened.

And "ditto" on the excuse for a party. Apple Martinis....... yummmers....

Holy crap finn! What are you thinking? Don't over-extend your wallet on the Yellow Tail. That 9 bucks for the big bottle might just break the bank. If I were you, I would spend the extra dollar and go for the big jug of Ernast and Julio...at least then you would get quantity over quality.

BTW, there was a report on CNN not long ago that said many women buy wines based on the labels. Since many chicks don't have a particular wine in mind when the enter the packie, the cheesy Aussies (and now Cali vins) just stick a couple of colorful animals and a cute name and the bitches are all over it. Pretty much all that wine sucks.

Women are so stupid.errr, I mean gullible

Robert Mondavi, out.

Does it make any sense to run an opening day wine competition if Killington has already announced their opening day and we have no confidence that they'd alter it based on conditions?
So what you're saying is, there is no differnece than when ASC called the shots since they opened whenever they felt like it. Cept these guys named a date that means nothing?
I'm not saying that at all. We don't know yet.
And we nnever did, which was the point of the contest.
