All the mountains have extremely high lift tickets these days, even Nashoba Valley and The Blue Hills are way too much money for what they have to offer. Everybody who skis on a regular basis is going to have a pass at their favorite mountain

it was good while it lasted
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Maybe I'm the only one but I would rather have these guys here over ASC. Which isn't saying much. But, ASC really wrecked Killington.

It's funny to think when ASC bought Killington, everyone was praising them, and fastforward to now, and look where we are.

I'd rather have ASC, without the debt from dumb moves at other areas.

I'd rather have Killington in 1930 before anyone else got there

That would have made for a long hike.

There was a small ski area on Shrewsbury Peak in the 30’s directly south of Killington (and yes, you can still earn turns there). At the time, Killington was considered too remote to develop. A huge accomplishment by a very young Pres Smith was to convince the state to build that scenic byway we now call the Access Road.

Must have been the only ski area to ever close from too much snow...
