Thank you Win for listening. My husband likes to watch the whole competition and videotape the competitors including our son so having it on Spring Fling will enable him to get there faster. I know other parents that like to do the same thing as him so you will please them as well.Win wrote:I agree with you about Spring Fling. I will speak with the event organizer about next year.

Re: Sugarbush Experience: Whats Good & Whats Bad
So I go over to Sugarbush's website to see if they are getting all snow, and find:

"At this early hour, we've already received 3 inches of snow, and we suspect a lot more coming through today...tonight...and into Thursday! Yes, there may some sleet mixing in this afternoon. But, it shouldn't affect our projected snow totals."
Whereas on Killington's:

"Enjoy fresh tracks on Wednesday here at Killington Resort as the National Weather Service has issues a Winter Storm Warning with up to a foot of new snow by Thursday morning!"
Sugarbush is showing a photo that conveys excitement, but conditions that are much more likely to be experienced by a ticket purchaser. Killington shows conditions only available to the first riders up the lift, or those with access to trails before they are opened. Sugarbush acknowledges the sleet in the forecast, Killington blithely ignores it.

So Killington might have meant they are the ones with issues?

Re: Sugarbush Experience: Whats Good & Whats Bad
Lincoln Peak must have gotten more snow that Mt. Ellen because according to the parents that were there for the competition, they said it had only snowed about 3 inches there and by the second run it was all skied off.skiadikt wrote:courtesy of alpine zone, i realize the complaints were for mt ellen, but here's a report from lincoln peak this past saturday touting excellent conditions. kudos once again to win for being standup.

Edit: He had a different report for Mt. Ellen on 1/2 that sounds more like the conditions that were described by SkiDork and Spin & Win:

On top of that, the weather.com box on the front page and snow report page shows "light freezing r*in"..............Mister Moose wrote:So I go over to Sugarbush's website to see if they are getting all snow, and find:

Re: Sugarbush Experience: Whats Good & Whats Bad
Sugarbush yesterday or the day before had up something about "x inches of fresh snow" and had a big grand pic of it. They did the same thing around when they opened, they had this thing talking about a ton of snow and a pic showing someone skiing deep snow, but had it up well past the event.
Sugarbush has an old photo not even from this season, Killington is displaying a photo from a few days ago, inviting you to watch their videos.

And why do you say Sugarbush's photo is not from this season?

Point is, Sugarbush has done what Killington had done, which was nothing wrong with to begin with.Mister Moose wrote:Uh, so what's your point here?skiingsnow wrote:Sugarbush yesterday or the day before had up something about "x inches of fresh snow" and had a big grand pic of it. That photo was on their site last season.
