YouTube keeps pulling down my videos when I include music. I haven't learned how to overwrite the ID tag in an MP3 file to stop that from happening.

What a day!
K1 was on windhold until about 9:30, but I headed up the Snowdon Quad at 9:00 and had a glorious 1st tracks down East Fall. It felt like flying! We're talking face shots of champagne!
Dry, deep untracked was perfect for the 1080 Guns. They're so agile for fat skis, especially in the forest.
That was about it for trail skiing. I headed into the trees and stayed there.
Everything in the woods was doable on a suface of deep, dry fluff.
I worked over Snowdown pretty good, especially enjoying more surfing through Low Rider, SC and GDs.
Met the Uber Ginger by the K1 and couldn't believe how much snow was on Heavenly Traverse.
Trees all around and beyond the North Ridge were just as lightly (or un-) tracked.
More runs as we played the "who can get from the top of this lift to the bottom with the least time on trails" game in marked and unmarked from the front of Skye over to Rams Head.
Never made it to Bear.
A great Monday after a great Sunday!
I even brought home a sprig of evergreen that got stuck in a boot buckle (in Chop Chop maybe?) as a souvenir.

Mister Moose said he talked to a lift ops guy who was grumbling. Apparently, all the competent people on the K1 had Monday off. They loaded the cars onto the haul rope and forgot to remove the track that goes to the shed. A bunch of gondola cars got hung up on the track and collided. It took 'em 90 minutes to sort it out.

First chair on the Snowdon Quad with the same peeps as Friday morning. First run was Low Rider, which already had some tracks in the entrance but once I found an untouched line never saw tracks again, white room in spots knee deep everywhere, no drifting. Second run down Vagabond, then Patsy's, then I forget. Other highlights were Northstar, Highline, Fiddle, Old Superstar, Ovation, etc. Everything was killer. Took my last run through SC at about 3:30 and it was consistently mid-thigh deep from start to finish. EPIC!! Definately best day of the season so far.
So good I only took one pic, Vagabond@930

I am pleased to report that Monday was indeed a spectacular Powder Day. Although the lifts were a little slow to get going, there were no wind holds, so Killington actually exceeded my reduced expectations in that regard. Face shots, knee deep pow, waist deep drifts, and steady snow all day long. The trees were ridiculous. Just when I thought it might be over, Vagabond, Great Bear, and the Poma track were all filled in again, making our last three runs as good as the first. I've been skiing K for 14 years, today was in my Top 3. The snow was "right side up", with freshly falling smoke being the icing on the cake. It was still coming down at 3PM, so Tuesday could be a repeat - get out there if you can.
PS: Absolutely no time for pictures.

True . . . I was first in line at K1 and saw the whole thing happen.... An off duty liftie jumped in and hit the stop button, otherwise it would have been really a mess. As it was, one car jammed in the gate and three more piled in on top of it. The cars were all jacked and crooked like a train wreck.
There were no managers present, no lift ops, no nothing. This was at 10 minutes to 9. How f'cked up is that ? The entire group of cars had to be winched backwards from inside of the upstairs housing of the lift terminal. Once they got the cars back on line, they had to adjust the spacing by running the entire line though the top end once.... Needless to say, people were freaking.... I waited and was rewarded with fresh tracks on Cascade....

According to the Sugarbush snow report, they never opened today due to the wind. At least K got the lifts spinning eventually.

If you are skiing have a great day.
Ohhhhhhhhh finn, I love when you talk in metaphors. You're a dirty girl. Humpty is getting aroused. What are you wearing right now? Wait! Not yet. Let me go get the baby oil. Ok, I'm back. zzzzzzzzzip. Proceed with the dirty talk.

Try vimeo it's better quality and faster uploads vs YouTube. Plus I've yet to be repremanded for using music that I actually PURCHASED in my HOME VIDEO
I don't know where these bozos from music companies get off telling me that putting a 5 minute clip of minianimal skiing with background music represents a violation of "fair use"

I'm going the computer geek route. I have the ID3 spec open in my browser and I pulled down a "Free Hex Editor" to patch the ID3 headers on MP3 files. I'm going to see if that works.
Here's the spec:
http://www.id3.org/id3v2.3.0
I'm just going to patch whenever I see something that looks like YouTube or FaceBook will be parsing it. The ID3 header on MP3 files ain't eggsactly complicated.

Form what I heard, they actually parse the audio to see if it matches a database of music they reject.
there was a thread on AZ a while back about this:

We'll see what happens after I patch the ID3 header.
