I don't venture over to TGR that often. You have some fun over there or they'd have fun with you ...

My favorite post included this gem:

Phase 1: Less skiers, less business in the area, sh*t-can anything that makes them unique
Phase 2: ?
Phase 3: Profit

Something tells me Nyberg has this tattooed on his forearm.
JG you have been outed as an Okemo PR guy... care to respond?
Maybe Nyberg will ask that for a return to a longer season that JR be kicked off.

Sounds like a good idea for a poll

I dunno... seems a little after-the-fact, don't you think?

I believe he was referring to "Junior;, who now posts infrequently.

why hasn't this thread been locked until we determine if in fact it was CN and not an impostor?

Does SnoBdr know junior? I thought it was typo. JR instead of JG.

Wasn't Jr already kicked off the SR board?

As for the email, well, it was dumb. But God knows I've said things when I should have been silent, posted words that should have remained mere thoughts, and sent emails that I should have simply deleted. Fortunately, I have understanding friends who overlook my faults. Well, at least the friends I still have....

Regarding any "Kzone" meeting with Nyberg:
1. The idea that there is any uniform Kzone point of view is laughable. Ask 10 posters about anything and you'll get at least 11 opinions.
2. It is real easy to spend other people's money, particularly when you don't have P&L responsibility. A little constructive listening might be a good idea.

POWDR's biggest problem right now is trust. They have a credibility problem, largely of their own making. Until they fix that, nothing else they do will make any difference. They need to understand and fix that first. It will be painful, and it will take time.

I think Powdr should take a cue from the president of Alpine Meadows who explained to the customer base why they were closing early. It seems that the vice president of Boyne reads the information on these chat rooms that pertain to their resosts and takes a close look at the suggestions and responds and takes action as required. I feel this goes a long way to building customer trust and loyalty. Perhaps if Tom could chime in now and then, dispel rumors, and keep us up to date and informed, they might see an increase in the bottom line. Positive word of mouth advertising is very effective, and it is free!

Tom used to participate on Kzone but stopped after being repeatedly attacked. It just wasn't worth the frustration. Ive talked with him one on one and via email and he has always tried to answer my questions when he could.
