Where anything green and you can ski Mad River Glen on St. Patty's Day for the same $17.

Not much of a choice, especially since MRG will be sunny and 50 as well. Spring corn bumps all over Gen Stark Mtn.

Mt Snow, ha.

Mad River Glen...ski it if you can.
Let me know if your opinion changes AFTER you ski Mad River Glen, if you can of course.

Patty's day sounded like a great idea, but the BOSS kind of gave me that Look thing. Guess I'll head up Thursday for a long weekend if I have no work.

I'll be wearin the Green tomorrow for sure. Hopefully find me some corned beef and cabbage. That will teach the BOSS to keep me around too long.

Doc, you can head up to MRG with us on Friday if you like. Got a small group going from K and SR.

IF I can ski MRG? I lived in Waitsfield on the access road for 6 years Mr. Weekend warrior, I should hope I could. I logged more hours there in half a year in the late 90's than you will in your lifetime.

GREAT day at Mt. Snow yesterday ! We got there for 1st chair but The North Face didn't soften up till between 930 -10 and we skied it till last chair ! Bluebird sky , soft bumps , empty little wood runs and $17 ticket.
The parking lot's were full of tail gators and the deck was PACKED with people enjoying the Band and soaking in the rays but the trails we skied were empty !
Mt. Snow sold a TON of day tickets !..Good job on their part !

Unless they sold four times as many tickets as on a normal Wednesday... maybe not.

Every lot was full, they were parking on the road . People I spoke with in the lodge said it was the most people they had seen ALL SEASON.

Even more than holiday periods? They must be sucking wind this year!

Again... unless they sold more than four times as many tickets as on a normal Wednesday, maybe not.

If they did... good for them.

Normal non-holiday Wednesday - they'll sell something in the neighborhood of 1000 day tickets. This week the pretty solid rumor was they were expecting 3,000 (they've never done quite this big a St. Paddy's Day promotion) and by late morning they had sold over 6,000, with more folks still showing up!

FYI, a "busy" weekend day at Mount Snow is in the 10,000 range these days, with a mega day in the 12,500+ range!

Just the perfect weather day combined with a good band and cheap lift tickets got a bunch of folks, i'm sure Tuesday night to say "lets go ski and drink" instead of "let go watch a parade and drink"

They sold over 6,500 on Wed, so yeah, they did.
