@Moose, the Village concept just didn't hold much appeal for us. Not to mention that we have spots on either side of us (Montgomery and Jay) that are authentic, albeit small, Villages. It leaves some room for them to grow along with us. We'll have a few more restaurants up this way but don't anticipate adding shopping, theatres, movie-halls or anything along those lines. We're going to have a hard enough time creating an authentic waterpark, we didn't want to worry about creating a Village around it. Our Community has been more than cooperative with us and they deserve the chance to ring the register as well.

So you're not going to clearcut to 2500 feet, move all the parking to remote lots, and sell 300 1-acre house lots? Sounds like your plan is doomed to failure.

There will never be a village at Killington! It's always been doomed to failure. Almost cursed. Even Pres Smith couldn't get it done for almost 40 years and battled with the town,state,local businesses,etc... Eventually he bailed so it wasn't just ASC and POWDR/SP that had problems. I'm fine if they did something similar to what they're planning at Jay.
