In 80's movies?!

kickstand wrote:DO NOT fall victim to this. If you watch Aspen Extreme, you will feel the need to gouge your eyes out immediately. If you DO choose to buy this movie, keep the receipt and watch it when you are EXTREMELY intoxicated. That way you won't remember it and can still return it. Just remember, if you watch it, that's 118 minutes of your life you can NEVER get back!
So kickstand, Aspen Extreme is not a good movie?

I'm as big a fan of 80's cheese as the next person, but this movie is just unbearable. It's the only movie I can remember actually having to turn off. I watched it while recovering from knee surgery, really dying to get out on the slopes - and I just couldn't take it anymore.......

I'm getting angry that I even spent the five bucks to rent the freakin' thing....

snowsprite wrote:Hot Dog was kinda dirty. I had never seen it, and the DVD was at the ski house where we were staying. I was going to put it on and someone was like "uh, you might not want your 10 yr old kid watching this." When I watched it later I could see why!

Amazing how much skin movies in the 80s showed compared to now. I mean, barring porn flicks...is it just me or are movies (even PG 13 and R rated) much more "modest" now?

Better Off Dead; not really a ski movie, like the ski porn you all like, but nonetheless, one of my favorite ski movies! Where's my $2.00!

Yeah, until the ski scene where the stunt double for the French exchange student chick is a guy. Really pathetic.

It does have one of the all-time great lines in a ski movie:
Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.
