The loaf is fun but is even more outdated than Killington and Sunday river combined. The mountain is almost always on windhold up too and the lines get crazy, thanks to the chairs being outdated.
Simple upgrades like a six pack where the super quad is and an express quad where buzzsaw used to be woulddo wonders.
LMAO, the women are hot? Did you not notice they all drive Subaru's with rainbow stickers? My wife got hit on by more women than I did in the 10+ years we lived up that way.

Sounds like Alaska, "where the men are men and the women are too".
Don't fly Mr. Bluebird, I'm just walking down the road......

I came to determine it was a gene pool issue. Meaning so many of the men in the area were useless for various reasons, if I was a women, i would look toward other women as well vs the available men.
Skied from about 9:10 to the closing bell today and our youngest daughter did her first double black, upper gondi line, which was the highlight of the day.
Great accomplishment to pull a double back...amazing in my book!
Haven't skied the loaf in a while, but it hasn't changed. Oh, they put in new lifts to replace the ones that fell down, but no actual upgrades. It was stuck in REIT hell for many years, however Boyne has recently bought the land back. Once they pay off the note, maybe it will see some investment. Who am I kidding: probably not. Other's may disagree, but Boyne sucks as an owner. Lots of frustration at Sunday River as well, though the fanboys will deny it. Don't know or care about Loon: I hate the place, haven't been there in 20 or 30 years.
The problem with Sugarloaf is the trail map is more or less a triangle folded horizontally. The upper (smaller) half is pretty good. Most of the bottom is run out. Burnt mountain (funded out of maintenance money, ahem, and kind of why they ran into problems with their lifts), is still without a lift (remember their 2020 plan, LOL), and most of what is accessible without a climb is pretty dull. The bars at the base are pretty good, and most of the condos are ski home after the lifts close, so there's that. As I recall, they're all 30 years old or more though. The Rack, not far off is also a pretty good bar. Snowboarder, famous, had a piece, can't remember who.
The exposure across the face of the mountain is all pretty similar: if it sucks one place, its not like its going to be great someplace else. No micro climates. In January, when the wind howls and it's 20 below, forget about it. Hasn't been opening for early season, but stays open late. I'm not surprised it looks good in late March with a dumpage. It is good! (Actually anyplace that isn't should just close up shop) It's just that's not the normal case. I'd ski it Jan-Feb before making any long term decision you might regret.

Interesting, I would argue that point heavily. Meaning, if the person/persons you are speaking with are from the Portland area, yes, they hate Trump as that area is a liberal basteon. However, once you get north ofportland, the sentiment changes greatly and he is widely supported. the best measure is to look at the break on the Electoral college votes, which Maine allows to be split and was.

A nice place to visit.
If you get to know what's going on...
Take NY, NY. Looks nice from the beltways. You can barely smell the city burning.
Butt< if you have a lot of cash...
File under questionable ...
Some have to escape to a near by glacial deposit or... AKA Island Pond Rd.
