Interesting details via the Mountain Times
“Selectman Jim Haff accused Ramsey of irresponsible financial planning, particularly around payment obligations — including an $8.4 million Bond Anticipation Note (BAN) due Aug. 21, plus approx. $11.6 million in current work, for a total of $20 million for water system construction by Casella Construction.
Haff repeatedly asked Ramsey what his plans had been for satisfying these obligations before his departure. Ramsey defended his actions and said he’d been working out a plan, up to the point when Haff took over.
A time lag between the town’s repayment obligations and reimbursement by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) is what necessitates bridge lending.”

You would think that this would of all been figured out prior to going to the voters. There will be a lag before the tax dollars on the new real estate start rolling in and the early bond payments have money available to cover the cost. Maybe Powdr is smart by selling out now.

Bridge lending was always in the plan and cost calculations. No idea why it got to be an issue now. Maybe it was complicated by the original bank reaching its municipal lending limit?

Witnesses claim Haff, was seen corralling actual ducks around the town hall, insisting this was crucial for municipal order. The town now faces the dual challenge of finding a new manager and managing Haff's newfound feathered friends.
why is it that you use the name Pedro? You seem to be really uncomfortable with the name Carlos.

Peeps take a look at who’s on the select board.
Michael Ramsey was a great town manager.
You elected the select board so make the select board work for you, not their personal interests.
The town should have a HR Consultant to guide them with the bad personnel decisions that are forcing good skilled
Employees leave.

Michael Ramsey was a great skilled town manager, but someone decided that they knew how to run the town better. He resigned.

Peeps take a look at who’s on the select board. Micro managing by the select board is not wise IMO.
Being on any board is hard. They should not be spending all the money or be taxing the residents to death. Put some money aside.
Who’s running the fire department and who are the hired members? Who works there? K fire and First response were all volunteers until 1/1/23. It ran fine. (public information)
Let’s have a list of all the town jobs with people’s named assigned to them with their pay rates ( public knowledge).
IMO the town should have a HR Consultant on call to guide them with the bad personnel decisions that are forcing good skilled employees that are being forced to leave .
Only 1600 people by the 2020 census live in town, so why can’t town managers run the town better.
Come on K get back to basics and running the town like it used to be like under Dave Lewis.

Spot on. Abso phukin lutely. The select board are as useless as balls on a bishop. Going back to the trainwreck of freshman ineptitude…. Seth Webb…. Couldn’t pick socks without retaining an overpriced consultant. Way past time for K voters to get a clue
